Terms and Privacy

Please read our rules and privacy policy carefully.

Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using the RruGO app, you accept all terms listed in this document. If you do not agree with any term, please do not use the platform.

2. The Service

RruGO is a digital platform that enables communication between drivers and passengers for carpooling trips. The platform does not directly provide transport services.

RruGO acts only as an intermediary. The transport agreement is made directly between the driver and the passenger.

3. Registration and Account

  • You must be over 18 years old to create an account.
  • Information provided during registration must be accurate and true.
  • You are responsible for the confidentiality of your account.
  • Each account is personal and cannot be transferred.

4. Driver Obligations

  • To have a valid license and mandatory insurance.
  • To respect the posted price and not request additional payments.
  • To notify passengers if the trip is canceled.
  • To respect traffic rules throughout the trip.

5. Passenger Obligations

  • To be at the meeting point at the agreed time.
  • To respect the driver's preferences (smoking, music etc).
  • To notify the driver if they cancel the booking.

6. Prohibitions

It is strictly prohibited:

  • Transportation of illegal goods.
  • Creating false accounts or misleading information.
  • Damaging platform data or attacking the infrastructure.
  • Any form of harassment or abusive behavior towards other users.

7. Suspension and Deletion

RruGO reserves the right to suspend or delete any account that violates these terms, without prior notice.

Bus tickets

These terms apply to every bus ticket bought through the RruGO app or rrugo.com from 29 October 2026. Please read them before you pay. They apply together with the general RruGO terms; where the two differ, these terms apply to bus tickets.

1. Definitions

  • “RruGO”, “we” and “us” mean RruGO Technologies LLC, which runs the RruGO app and rrugo.com.
  • “Operator” means the bus company named on the departure and on the ticket, which carries out the journey.
  • “Buyer” means the person who places and pays for the order. “Passenger” means each person travelling on the order.
  • “Order” means one purchase of one or more seats on one departure, with or without a return journey.
  • “Ticket” means the confirmation we send by email after payment, with a QR code and a PDF for each journey.
  • “Service fee” means the RruGO charge of EUR 0.50 per seat for the booking service.

2. Who can buy

  • You must be at least 18 years old to buy a ticket. A minor may travel on a ticket bought by a parent or legal guardian, subject to the operator’s rules for minors.
  • If you buy for other passengers, you confirm that you may accept these terms on their behalf and that you will pass the ticket and these terms on to them.
  • You must give true and complete information. We may refuse or cancel an order placed with false details or a payment we suspect is fraudulent; any amount paid is then refunded.

3. Our role

RruGO sells tickets as an agent of the operator. The contract of carriage is made between the passenger and the operator named on the ticket.
  • RruGO does not own or operate buses. The operator is responsible for the journey, including the vehicle, the driver, safety, punctuality, service on board and luggage.
  • Our responsibility covers the booking service: showing the departure, taking the payment, issuing the ticket, passing the booking to the operator and handling cancellations and refunds under these terms.
  • By buying a ticket you also accept the operator’s own conditions of carriage. Where they conflict with these terms on the journey itself, the operator’s conditions apply.
  • The operator’s name is shown on the departure, at checkout, in the email and on the ticket.

4. Timetables and prices

  • Timetables, stops and ticket prices are provided by the operators. We publish them with care but cannot guarantee that they are always complete or up to date.
  • Times are shown in local time as published by the operator. Arrival times are estimates.
  • Once you have paid, the price of your ticket does not change, even if the operator later changes its prices or timetable.
  • If a price is clearly wrong because of an obvious error, we may cancel the order and refund the full amount paid, including the service fee. We will tell you by email.

5. Booking

  • You can book 1 to 10 seats on one departure in a single order. All seats in an order are for the same journey.
  • A return can be added only on a later departure of the same operator on the reverse route. Both journeys are booked and paid in one order.
  • The order is issued in the passenger name you enter. If several passengers travel, enter the name of the lead passenger, who should travel with the group.
  • Enter an email address you can access: the ticket and all notices about the order are sent there.
  • A departure can be booked until its scheduled departure time, but we recommend booking well before so you have the ticket in time.
  • Seat numbers are not assigned. Seating on board is decided by the operator.
  • The booking is confirmed only when the payment succeeds and we send the ticket by email. If it has not arrived within 15 minutes, check your spam folder and then contact us.

6. Price and payment

  • The total shown before payment is the ticket price for all seats and journeys plus the service fee of EUR 0.50 per seat. You see the full amount before you pay.
  • Payment is made in euros by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay through our payment provider Stripe. RruGO does not see or store your full card details.
  • Your bank may charge currency conversion or other fees. These are not set by RruGO and are not refunded by us.
  • The ticket covers the fare for the journey shown, so you do not pay the operator again for it. Extra services sold by the operator, such as additional luggage, are paid to the operator.
  • If the payment fails or is cancelled, no booking is made and no ticket is issued.

7. Your ticket

  • After payment we email the ticket with a QR code and a printable PDF. Each journey (outbound and return) has its own page.
  • The QR code opens the ticket page on rrugo.com, which shows whether the ticket is valid, cancelled or already used.
  • Keep the email until the end of your journey. If you lose it, contact us from the same email address and we will send it again.
  • Treat the QR code like cash: anyone who has it can open the ticket page. Each journey can be marked as boarded only once, so a copied ticket cannot be used twice.
  • The ticket is valid only for the departure, route, date and number of seats shown on it. It cannot be used on another departure or with another operator.

8. Boarding

  • Be at the departure point at least 15 minutes before departure, and at least 30 minutes for international lines. The bus does not wait for late passengers, and a missed departure is not refunded.
  • Show the QR code on your phone or on paper. The driver or operator scans it and marks the journey as boarded.
  • The operator may ask for photo ID and may refuse boarding if the details do not match the ticket.
  • Follow the instructions of the driver and the operator’s staff. The operator may refuse to carry a passenger who is drunk, aggressive, a danger to others or carrying prohibited items; the ticket is then not refunded.

9. Changes to a ticket

  • A paid ticket cannot be changed to another date, time, route, operator or number of seats.
  • If you need a different journey, cancel the ticket within the cancellation period (section 10) and buy a new one.
  • If you made a mistake in the passenger name or email, contact us before departure. We will correct it where the operator allows.

10. Cancellation by you

You can cancel until 24 hours before the first departure of the order and get the ticket price back. The service fee of EUR 0.50 per seat is not refunded.
  • Cancel on the ticket page, opened from the QR code or the link in your email. You do not need to contact the operator.
  • A cancellation applies to the whole order: all seats and, for a return, both journeys. Part of an order cannot be cancelled.
  • Less than 24 hours before the first departure, the ticket can no longer be cancelled or refunded.
  • Once any journey of the order has been boarded, the order can no longer be cancelled, and an unused return journey is not refunded.
  • A missed bus, late arrival at the departure point, refused boarding or a passenger who does not travel is not refunded.

11. Cancellation, delays and changes by the operator

  • If the operator cancels the departure, we cancel the order and refund the ticket price. You may instead accept another departure if the operator offers one.
  • If the operator changes the departure time significantly before you travel and the new time does not suit you, contact us before departure and we will refund the ticket price.
  • Delays, breakdowns, replacement vehicles, diversions and missed stops are the operator’s responsibility. If a vehicle cannot continue, the operator may arrange replacement transport, which passengers should accept.
  • RruGO is not responsible for connections with other buses, flights or trains booked separately.
  • Claims for compensation for delays or for the journey itself are made to the operator. On request we give you the operator’s contact details and pass on your complaint.

12. Refunds

  • Refunds go to the same card or wallet used for the payment. We do not refund in cash or to another account.
  • Refunds usually appear within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank.
  • You receive an email when the refund is made, and the ticket page then shows the ticket as cancelled.
  • The service fee is not refunded, except when we cancel an order because of our own error or where the law requires it.
  • Please contact us before opening a dispute or chargeback with your bank; most problems are solved faster directly.

13. Luggage

  • Luggage allowance, size and weight limits and fees for extra luggage are set by the operator. Check them before you travel.
  • Keep valuables, money, documents, medicine and electronics in your hand luggage.
  • Dangerous, illegal or prohibited items may not be carried.
  • Report lost or damaged luggage to the driver or operator straight away. Luggage claims are handled by the operator, not RruGO.

14. Children, pets and special assistance

  • Child fares, the minimum age for travelling alone and the documents required for minors are set by the operator. Minors crossing a border may need written consent from their parents or guardians.
  • Whether pets may travel, and on what conditions, is decided by the operator.
  • If you need help boarding or have reduced mobility, contact the operator before booking to make sure they can assist you.

15. Travel documents and borders

  • For international journeys each passenger is responsible for a valid passport or ID card, visas, residence permits and any health or customs requirements of the countries on the route.
  • A passenger refused at a border, or who cannot travel because of missing documents, is not entitled to a refund, and the bus may continue without them.
  • Waiting times at borders are outside the control of RruGO and the operator.

16. Liability

  • RruGO provides the booking service with reasonable care. If a ticket is not issued correctly because of our error, we will correct it or refund the full amount paid.
  • RruGO is not liable for acts or omissions of the operator, including accidents, injury, delays, cancellations, lost luggage or service on board.
  • Where the law allows, our total liability for an order is limited to the amount paid for that order, and we are not liable for indirect losses such as missed flights, hotel costs or lost earnings.
  • Nothing in these terms limits consumer rights that cannot be limited by law.

17. Events outside our control

  • Neither RruGO nor the operator is liable for failures caused by events outside reasonable control, such as severe weather, natural disasters, road or border closures, strikes, government measures, epidemics or outages of payment, email or internet providers.
  • If such an event cancels a departure, section 11 applies.

18. Complaints and support

  • For questions or complaints about booking, payment, the ticket or refunds, write to support@rrugo.com with the ticket email or the order details.
  • Complaints about the journey itself, the driver, the vehicle or luggage go to the operator. We can help you reach them.
  • Please send complaints as soon as possible after the problem, while the facts can still be checked.

19. Personal data for bus tickets

  • For each order we keep the passenger name, email, journey, seats, payment status and boarding status.
  • We share the passenger name, seats and journey with the operator so it can carry you.
  • Card payments are processed by Stripe; RruGO does not store full card details.
  • We keep order records for as long as needed for the service, accounting and legal obligations.

20. Changes to these terms and applicable law

  • We may update these terms, for example when we add new features or operators. The version in force when you paid applies to your order.
  • These terms are governed by the same law as the general RruGO terms. Your rights under the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence are not affected.
